Cultivating a house of prayer

Cultivating a House of Prayer

The word of God says to pray about everything and to pray without ceasing. “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.”

(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 ESV)

God wants us to pray for every little detail, and I believe He desires to speak back to us throughout the day, and even desires to speak to our children.

I feel like we moms need to rise up and pray like never before, and also to include our children in many of our prayers. We are called to raise up soldiers for Jesus! Let’s not back down. Let’s rise up and fight and teach our children to fight with us in the mighty name of Jesus!

I have actually recently included my boys when people reach out to me for prayer. I have even started teaching them to pray healing for people. One of my sons seems to already have the gift of intercession, so I believe it is my job to help come alongside him and help him practice this gift.

Ask the Lord for a prophetic insight on what your children's spiritual gifts are from the Lord. Start training them while they are young so they won’t depart from it. (Ref. Proverbs 22:6) Pray for their calling and pray for them to be bright shining lights in this dark world. I feel the enemy is running havoc and showing off with the most demonic agendas against children right now. So I believe it’s time for us mamas to rise up and fight like never before.

We are called to break the curses off of our bloodline so our children can receive their blessings from a fruitful bloodline and not a cursed one. Read “You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, but showing steadfast love to thousands of those who love me and keep my commandments.” (Exodus 20:5-6 ESV)

I pray for revival in us moms, and that this revival will spread to our household and spread like a fire wherever we go. We are called to shine our light and bring our light into this dark world. “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5 ESV)

The coolest testimony just happened with my boys and me.  We went to one of our favorite parks and there were two middle-school aged boys there. They were so sweet, playing a fun game with my boys and making them laugh. The time at the park turned into a divine appointment as we ended talking about Jesus. One boy was already saved, but his friend wasn’t. I ended up preaching the gospel to all the boys and even made my boys sit down and listen. I literally watched God move and touch this boy's heart right before my eyes and he gave his life to Jesus right there with us at the park! My boys got to witness what salvation looks like right before their very own eyes. I believe that this type of obedience, sharing the gospel with our children and praying over others, will bear much fruit in them. Afterwards we all experienced so much joy while praising God in the car with a dance party.

Times will only get darker until Jesus returns, so let’s rise up and fight back and not be afraid of the attacks over our children. I believe that if we cultivate a house of prayer, God’s spirit will pour out power on our children and even produce miracles in our homes and everywhere we go, like what I experienced that day with my boys.

I want to close with this encouraging verse as a promise for these last days. The enemy will want to speak to you with words of discouragement, but God's word says,  “And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh, and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams;”

(Acts 2:17 ESV)

Rise up and fight!

Blessings,

Kingdom Mama
