A little about me:
Hi I am Jolene Feist! I’m a Jesus follower, wife, and mother to three toddler boys. I have been happily married for seven years to my amazing husband Kole Feist. I am an author and speaker for Jesus. I feel called to write devotionals that will inspire Kingdom Mamas to know their worth and to know that the enemy is going to try to steal that from them. We are called to stand up and fight, and teach our children how to fight.
My two “go-to” Bible verses regarding motherhood are:
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6 ESV
“And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength. And you must commit yourselves wholeheartedly to these commands that I am giving you today. Repeat them again and again to your children. Talk about them when you are at home and when you are on the road, when you are going to bed and when you are getting up. Tie them to your hands and wear them on your forehead as reminders. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates. Deuteronomy 6:5-9 NLT
One of my “go-to” sayings is, “Give your mama burdens to the Lord.” God used some very hard and scary things with my children to set me free from fear, control, anxiety, heaviness, and much more. I believe God wanted to restore me and to use some of my personal testimonies to help encourage other Christian mamas.
Here is one short paragraph from one of my writings. You can sign up below to check out more of my “Mama Blogs.”
Why can motherhood be so challenging, draining, stressful, scary, and much more? The enemy uses these feelings in his attempt to rob us of the joy of motherhood. From Scripture, we know that his purpose is "to steal and kill and destroy." But Jesus said, "My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life." (John 10:10 NLT) God desires for us to walk in victory and to become more like Him.
